Goat Greetings to Ewe!
Bleating Heart Haven is a cottage business born of a love of spinning and knitting; all the fiber offered for
sale in the gallery on the farm is “donated” by the 3 breeds of sheep, Angora goats, and Angora bunnies on the
yard. You can literally look out the gallery window to see the animal the fiber in your hand is from. All
the yarn is also hand-dyed on the farm. In addition, spring brings precious new lambs and kid goats!
gallery/farm is located in rural New Holstein (northeastern Wisconsin)1.25 miles west of Hwy 57 between New Holstein and Chilton.
(The address is W1993 Thede Road, New Holstein, WI) . I primarily raise registered Angora goats, but I also have Cormo sheep,
Shetland sheep, Blue-Faced Leicester Sheep (BFL) and German Angora bunnies!
I do most all of my own animal care
from shearing to hoof trimming, and I wash, dye, card, spin, and knit/weave with the fibers. (However, I do need to rely on
commercial mini mills when I have too much volume to process on my own.)
